Description
21 records- most are early one-sided discs but also included are a couple of Columbia demo records, a Columbia Personal Record, and as a bonus- a Pathe splatter record, sadly cracked- but it makes a great display item.
Records are untested unless to check an obvious defect or to check music vs noise. If tested, a VV-XVII was used. Many have minor scratches and scuffs from years of play and being in storage so probably play with some background noise. They are being sold as is with no returns. Shipping via Media Mail at buyers expense.
Quick description of visual defects that may affect music quality. Some are also tested aurally as mentioned above.
American Record Company- 031346- dark blue shellac- Announced title- visible scratch but inaudible-plays loud and clear. In business 1904-06.
Victor 1944- small edge crack about 1\3" into disc. Plays fine with no audible evidence of the crack. Pretty good Yodler by the way.
Victor 4790- fairly gray grooves. One scratch near the end
Victor 4207- scuffs/scratches
Victor 4080- sounds good w slight background noise
Victor 249- sounds good
Victor 5134- Some scuffs/ lite scratches
Silvertone 45793- purple label- looks good w a few scuffs
Silvertone 28490- orange lbl- looks good
Silvertone 46207- orange lbl- plays good w slight noise
Oxford 279- somewhat gray but plays loud and clear
Columbia Graphophone Co- Personal Record 91012- sm edge chip not in grooves- gray grooves w lite scratches
Columbia demo record "not for sale"- looks all right except for a couple of scratches
Columbia Dance Record 1777- demo record available thru "the newspaper"- two sided record looks good w a few light scratches.
Columbia Record 3469- shiny grooves
Columbia Record 1753- has some pressing defects, "dimples". Has a few white spots too
Zonophone 1033- scuffs/ lite scratches but plays fine.
Zonophone 593- one bad groove- skips once
Zonophone 357- somewhat gray grooves- scuffs/scratches- needle dmg on lbl
Zonophone 449- one long scuff but plays thru with no problem or distracting sounds.
Zonophone 357- typical scuffs and light scratches
Climax record manufactured for Columbia Phono Co. #286- deep needle dig right at bottom of record thumps 2 or 3 times but plays thru.
