RARE HARD TO FIND 10"  - very ltd recordings by this artist                             STORYVILLE RECORDS INC., BOSTON, MASS   Storyville LP 310

****1ST ORIGINAL RECORDING - Serge only recorded two LP's for Storyville in 1954/55.  This is the 1st ever recording on STORYVILLE RECORDS.  Prior to 1954, he was the number one baritone saxophonist in the the Metronome and Downbeat poll (see Goldmines 1951). For a period of time, he disassociated himself from any commercial group and left the "scene".Upon his return, this 1st Storyville recording, Serge chose and arranged all selections. "Only a master musician could write so excellently for the strange voicing of two such horns as the alto and bariton saxophones" (see liner notes)
