Description

  10" thick single sided VICTOR MONARCH 78 rpm record from 1901.  NO CHIPS OR CRACKS! Record is very clean, still shiny with only light scuffs and scratches and one tiny needle drop.  The speech is loud and clear enough to understand, music is loud.  There is a hiss throughout, especially at the start  and the spindle hole is a tad off center.  The voices reproduced very loud and clear (even the opening announcement) with a large 4 mil. eliptical needle--the grooves are not worn but they appear to be fine and delicate.  Take number is etched in the dead area next to the M in "Manufactured" (see photos).
