Description
Available here for purchase is an incredibly rare first state "10 Blue Note pressing of Here Comes Frank Foster. Includes all the markers: ear, curved-font Lexington address, flat edge, and even RVG etching (many people miss that fact because it was etched VERY small on these "10).
VINYL: G+
Marks and static throughout, but doesn't overpower the music. There is a feelable mark on third track of first side which creates some ticking. Overall, I found it to be a very enjoyable listen.
COVER: VG-
Still shows nice color and presence ofc. Approx 3" split bottom at opening. Wear on corners, but remainder of seams strong. Back has aging/discoloration. Back has very old tape tear, BUT UNDERNEATH YOU CAN VERY LIGHTLY READ "AT BIRDLAND." Blue Note was know for recycling unused covers, laying the new art over the top of the old, so it is pretty cool that can be seen here. I believe the only Birdland release that BN did on 10" was Art Blakey's A Night at Birdland. Please see pics of cover as I posted many.
I have been an eBayer since 1998 and have perfect feedback while selling many LPs so bid with confidence.
