This classic ALBUM from the 1940s that includes 4 original records - 4 vintage 10" (standard) size 78 (Victrola) records, featuring Gene Autry on the COLUMBIA Label. Outside album has some wear and tear on it but otherwise in excellent condition for being so old. The interior sleeves are in Excellent condition, records are in Very Good condition.

Gene Autry's with String Band and Instrumental Acc.
Fewer artists have a stronger hold on public affection than Gene Autry. Ever since the day eh was first heard by the late Will Rogers and encouraged to start out on his career, Gene has amassed a singularly large and avid following. As might be expected, a large number of Gene's most ardent fans are children, who delight in his singing as much as they delight in the atmosphere of the West that is inescapably associated with him. But almost as large is his following among adults, who find in the simple, unaffected songs, and Gene's honest and sincerely felt versions of them a refreshing and heartening relief from the pretense of much of today's music.
