Description
For sale is an extremely rare 10" inch album of traditional Chinese music. This album was put out by the Art-Tune Company, and the catalog number is ATC-73. These Art-Tune Company albums only rarely appear on eBay.
I grade conservatively on a NM, VG+, VG, VG-, G scale. This record, like the other Art-Tune Company records I have for sale, looks nice and shiny and great, with only a few extremely light, non-feelable scratches that can be seen only in bright light. It looks excellent. I cleaned it on VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine and then played it on my Dual 1229 with a Shure m97xe. Despite it being almost NM visually, it plays with quiet pops throughout, so I grade it as VG. I suspect the vinyl that the manufacturer used just wasn't that great to begin with, or the album is based on a master that had pops. The cover is VG+. The seams are solid, and there some shelf wear and minor creasing. (See photos.) The inner sleeve is plastic.
