Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. A Gathering of Promises is a 1969 lost gem of the psychedelic era. The band had two very strong songwriters in guitarist Rod Prince and bassist Roy Cox, and its use of the twin lead guitars of Prince and Todd Potter matched the skill and innovation of the Allman Brothers, who were using some of the same ideas just a few states away from this Austin-based band. The band’s song-craft and tight harmonies should have put them on the map, but neither "Hot Smoke and Sassafras" nor the LP ever got the exposure they deserved, perhaps because they were on International Records, a regional label with poor distribution or promotion , the same label that also signed the Thirteenth Floor Elevators.

So this lone album from the Bubble Puppy is a monumental effort of late 60s hard grooving psychedelia -- and one of very best albums to come out of the original Texas psych scene! Bubbly Puppy deserve to be on the top shelf, too, along side the 13th Floor Elevators, Golden Dawn and Red Krayola. The sound is tight and hard hitting, with trippy lyricism and groovy group harmonies, while the guitars range from cathartic fuzz to some surprisingly pretty melodicism. Not as far out as some of their peers, but the groove is absolutely killer.

CONDITION: The cover: Rated: is solid all over, rated: near M- VERY Clean for this otherwise highly prone-to-wear cover! The cover remains stiff, sharp, no soft spots, no bends, no split seams, no writing anywhere. There is a small round circle at top right noted as a store deletion from virtually being ignored as were nearly all the cool psych Lp's from the '60s/early 70s. As mentioned, this IS a very wear-prone cover usually with a lot of cover wear, so, HIGHLY desirable cover & overall final collection keeper here!
