This is a rare 1ST PRESS WHITE LABEL PROMO copy of 10,000 Maniacs 3rd LP, "In My Tribe", the album that brought the band to fame with MTV staples like "Like The Weather", and their cover of the Cat Stevens classic "Peace Train". This RARE PROMO is pressed on HIGH QUALITY AUDIOPHILE VINYL, which is NOT how the store copies were made. Super hard to find, this is a late eighties classic (1987, but they were huge well into the 90's, and even now they, or Natalie Merchant, still play shows). A Lillith Fair favorite, and even guys like me like and appreciate this great LP. The cover has a "featuring "Peace Train" HYPE STICKER, as well as another sticker advertising it's audiophile pressing. There is a thin slice mark on the front near the stickers, as well as a GOLD PROMO STAMP on the back, denoting it's promotional status. The cover has minor ring and shelf wear, the edges are good, some corner bumping, the spine is VERY LEGIBLE, and it has NO SPLITTING! The vinyl is very clean, very shiny and colorful, excellent condition marked down to VG+ due top a very light marks on Side One and Side Two that do NOT cause skipping or ugly popping. The label on this is noted as PROMOTIONAL & is typical promo WHITE. It 's all wrapped up in the original lyric sheet that is fully split on one side with mid sleeve slits on the other two corners. This is not a loud rock album, so you may here very minor used vinyl background noise occasionally, which is typical, beware of anyone who suggests their used vinyl sounds perfect. While its NOT the perfect copy, maybe better than I've described it (I of course want you to know all the good as well as the not so good), but this is a really rare 1st pressing with very nice vinyl, a nice package all around. This will be by Media Mail, which is a bit slower but allows us to ship all US vinyl purchases FREE! We use official LP mailers with the record outside the cover, and in clean white sleeves separately from any photo inner sleeves. All vinyl is cleaned with an enzyme spray then finished with a SpinClean Machine. With sealed vinyl, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed, which is for our financial protection as well as yours.
