RARE original Banglad Records very first Stereo press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1975 by Discos Banglad (Banglad Records), catalog number LP GL-101, with hand etched matrix numbers LP-GL-101-A EB-CD in Side A and LP-GL-101-B EB-CD in Side B, with yellow/black Banglad Records labels. It’s interesting to notice that in the deadwax of both sides it’s written the exact day of pressing, “17-10-75” (October 17st of 1975). Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“12 EXITAZOS” (12 Big Hits) is a compilation album only released here in Chile, with a flipback cover made of two single pieces of a very thin cardboard, with front cover pasted on the flips of back cover. Front cover is very simple, the album title and tracklist are written with colored letters and of course all text is written in Spanish only, with additional information “In Spanish” for Patrick Juvet’s “La Música”. Back cover is only black and white, with all text written in Spanish only and additional information at bottom left corner that this LP was possible thanks to record companies Alhambra, Belter and Movieplay from Spain and Barclay from France. In labels the album title and tracklist are written in Spanish only, with full credits for songwriters of each song. The tracklist in this exclusive compilation album for Chile is:

It’s interesting to notice that in cover it’s informed that in Side B the song 5 is “Perdido Amor” and 6 “Saca El Güisqui, Cheli” but the songs are swapped in record and of course correctly informed in label. All songs in this compilation are sung in Spanish, except the song by Tony Ronald “El Amor Como El Viento”, which’s sung in English (Play It Again). So, here you have the chance to get this interesting compilation album, with some classic pop songs of the 70’s by some Spanish and French-speaking singers, a compilation album to hear and enjoy over and over again!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great VG- or VG condition, clean and complete, with severe wear in all edges, more evident in the mouth edge and spine, with creases, rips and seam splits in spine and bottom edge, caused because in this cover they glued the flips and someone cut the bottom edge to can put the record inside, maybe in the radio station which owned this record first, where they also marked some songs with a little point in front cover. The record is in strong VG or VG+ condition both sides, clean, clear and glossy, with many scuffs, light hairlines and very soft scratches, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in great EX or EX+ condition, clean and clear, with minimal spindle hole wear, with the name of a radio station stamped in both sides and the written “A” and “B” someone did to identify the sides. The sound is the best part of this record, it’s in absolute EX or EX+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), only some light crackles and occasional soft pops here and there, more evident in the silent parts and between tracks, which don’t cause any distraction from the great sound quality this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, sure this record is not for Minty minds or audiophiles, but this is a compilation album only released here in Chile, with an UNIQUE COVER still in decent shape, UNIQUE TRACKLIST, with the error in order of songs informed and a superb audio which doesn’t disappoint anyone, this is a great selection of songs and keep in mind the songs by Charles Aznavour, Dalida or Patrick Juvet sung in Spanish!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
