I'm simply a big fan & I think they are really cool & I wanted to share with you, social interest, how they looked back in the day. The photo is not part of the sale of this record.

WHAT THIS IS: This is a USED record. It is NOT perfect. Maybe Acceptable or Great to you.

I DO NOT WANT TO SELL YOU A BAD RECORD! Yet it could happen. All records crackle & pop. Some less or more than others... I have seen records with surfaces that look ugly & sound flawless. I have seen/heard record surfaces that look NEW & they sound AWFUL & even SKIP. Covers might be worn in a way I missed in the description.

Did Seller listen to this record before offering on ebay?

ANSWER: Yes. The whole side. Visible surface marks & scratches. Sound good for an old punk record, which was played a lot at L. A. 80's clubs.

FACT: The ONLY way to know if a record sounds good (or not) is sitting there, watching it, the needle, looking at meters & fiddling with knobs & listening carefully to the entire vinyl in Real Time. Completely undistracted. I did not have that time. Please ask me if you want me to go listen this to this one, before you bid or buy. I'd be glad to check it out for you & give you an update on this record if I can.

The Brat was an influential Chicano punk band from East Los Angeles, California, formed in the late 1970s by singer Teresa Covarrubias and guitarist brothers Rudy and Sid Medina. They played their first gig at the opening of The Vex, housed in the now defunct Self Help Graphics and instrumental in providing access to many local bands at the time. Their unique style of aggressive pop, highlighted by intelligent lyrics and passionate stage performances, engaged audiences and won them critical acclaim as well as the covers of Lowrider Magazine and the L.A. Weekly. Their first EP Attitude was cited as one of the five best independent releases in 1980, with melodic hooks and crunchy guitars, this record sounds as fresh today as when it was originally recorded. On March 22, 1980 a new punk club called The Vex was founded within the wedding hall at Self Help Graphics and Art Center in East Los Angeles.  During sound check at the Vex one Saturday afternoon, Tito Larriva of The Plugz heard Teresa Covarrubias singing “The American in Me” by The Avengers and thought Penelope Houston was on the bill, so powerful was her vocal.

SURFACE CONDITION: Visible surface marks & light scratches. Sounds very good for an old punk record, which was played a lot at L. A. 80's clubs.

Records I have cleaned in OVER 40 YEARS + have always sounded & looked worse off, years later. I will use an air-cleaner or clean cloth before I send it. But I assure you, a cat-hair will get through.
