ORIGINAL UK Lp
RED & PLUM LABELS
PRODUCED BY JIMMY PAGE
(another from my own Zeppelin collection)
CLEANED WITH Pro-Ject VC-S MkII Vacuum Record Cleaner.

Released in October 1969, this Lp was the follow up to the hugely successful Zeppelin I... & what an album...Being the groups very first album to reach No. 1 in both the UK and the USA.
The album production was entirely credited to Jimmy Page.
(as a little note: In November of 1999 the album was certified 12X platinum!!)

SOLID.. Being one of my favourite albums of all time-it really wasn't a chore to listen to her through at HIGH volume!!
GREAT sound reproduction..Deep bass and clear highs.
She has been to a few parties, providing some light marks to the vinyl which produce some very light and occasional background noise with some light pops in a few of the quieter sections-Nothing terrible....I found a micro skip at the start of track 1, side 1, which I think will play over with a slightly heavier stylus than mine.
Track 3, side 2 has a revolutionary click/pop, with some light pops to parts of tracks 4 & 5.
WOW-Superb drums kicking in at the start-magical!
FLAT & HEAVY
!!!!AS ZEPPELIN WANTED YOU TO HEAR THEM-with some original pops and crackle ;)!!!!

These covers are notorious for light ring wear, which only shows very lightly to the back panel on this copy.
The spine is incredibly strong and remains legible.
The corners have some rubbing but nothing terrible at all.
Has 'J.L.C' small initials to the back panel-that is all and they are faded.

Being recorded in just 36hrs of recording time at Olympic Studios during September-Oct 1968, the finished Lp was released in the US on the 12th of Jan and in March in the UK, 1969 and...
 IT ROCKED THE WORLD!!!

**WONDERFULLY EARLY**

The Vinyl:

She is FLAT, HEAVY and SHINY, with just the majority of marks being faintest of faint, traces of whispy marks to her....However, on side 1, track 2 there is an audible revolutionary background crackle due to 3 more slightly pronounced marks to the track-NOTHING TO MAKE HER JUMP OR SKIP.
There is other very faint and occasional light pops, which did not ruin the enjoyment of the record-played LOUD!
Side 2plays through with full force and depth.
FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN.
MAGICAL

The Labels:
EX.
NO writing or stickers.
They are the 2nd pressing of this iconic red & plum label as they carry the Warner Bros credits, rather than the very 1st press with the 'Superhype' credits.
I can see only a handful of very faint traces of spindle marks-when angled towards the light.
Lovely and bright.
Would frame well.

The Sleeve:
EX.
Yep, that good!
Bright orange lettering to the front.
"UPTIGHT AN' OUTASIGHT" Atlantic appreciation society address to the back cover-showing this was the very 1st printing after the very 1st turquoise lettered cover.
Only has around 5 small crescents of spidering to the laminate and very slight rubbing to the corners. REALLY well looked after for all these years.
WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED

The Inner:
 Near Mint-.
Simply great.....Poly-lined, doubled windowed inner which has certainly done her job in keeping this album in TOP CONDITION.
Has MADE IN ENGLAND printed text to the bottom right corner.
Only incredibly light creasing and a tiny, tiny bit of discolouration from age.

ALL IN ALL THIS ALBUM
LOOKS GREAT
SOUNDS GREAT
IS GREAT
!!TURN HER UP!!
The audio really is ROCKIN' and all housed in a fantastic cover and inner too.
