1968 U.S.stereeo press of LP on green International Artists label
13th Floor Elevators titled " The Psychedelic Sound of "( debut LP)
~This is International Artists release #1 from 1968 & i believe is 2nd press ~
original 1st press were issued a year earlier ( 1967) on green & yellow label
NOTE: DOES NOT HAVE "MASTERFONICS" IN TRAIL OFF WAX that the 70s reissues reportedly have
HAND ETCHED MATRIX NUMBERS:
S 1 - IA = 1 B1 side 1 & (S) 1 A #1 B1 side 2
CONDITION:
cover: VG++ to Excellent
lite shelf wear/soiling ~ lite wear/fray to corners
lite crease lower right
vinyl: VG++
clean & glossy ~ a bit of lite groovewear on several cuts & a couple of small paper sleeve marks
s few small lite surface scratches & 3 or 4 small lite surface marks ~ all superficial
plays excellent, but, with just 3 or 4 soft lite clicks & a bit of occasional
lite low level surface noise/ soft surface crackle here & there ~ all low level ~
nothing that gets in the way, or overwhelms the audio ~
noticeable mostly just between tracks, but, in a couple of quieter moments,too
