Description

A few things..."The Family Dog On the Great Highway" was a San Francisco based bar and concert venue that featured many, many, amazing psychedelic and popular rock acts such as The grateful Dead, Velvet Underground and Jefferson Airplane, from 1968-1970. The official club stamp is on each of these jackets as you will see from the photos. Now, the albums themselves:
13th Floor Elevators:  JACKET has a 6" split down spine, and 2" splits on the bottom seam ends; DJ identification tape top left front and back. VINYL VISUAL: Side 2 has a few faint hairlines, Side One has a couple of more prominent hairlines, one 3/4" scuff covering songs 1 and 2. VG- VINYL AUDIO: Tested on Marantz TT and NO SKIPPING at all, sounds really great with some crackle during intros/some outros/quieter moments.

  • Matrix / Runout (Runout etching side B): (S) 1-A #1 B1 SIDE 2

EASTER EVERYWHERE: THIS IS THE MISPRINT FIRST PRESSING! Track B5 misspelled "Posturos" on back cover.  JACKET has no splits, some wear along the edges, strong spine; DJ identification tape top left front and back. Some writing in pen from a Family Dog employee id'ing the lp as their copy on the front top left and the bottom right. I think this is the coolest album graffiti I've seen yet!
VINYL VISUAL: Side 2 has faint hairlines, nothing deep, a little more than Side One which also has a few faint hairlines, nothing deep. VG/VG-
VINYL AUDIO: Tested on Marantz TT and NO SKIPPING at all, sounds really great with a little more crackle than the Debut in this lot, mostly during intros/some outros/quieter moments. Once the songs start to rip you'll think it's a new record.

  • Matrix / Runout (Side B, runout etched): IAS 5 Side 2 1C

BULL OF THE WOODS JACKET has an intact top seam and strong spine with no splits, just a little wear; DJ identification tape top left front and back. Has The Family Dog stamp on the back.
VINYL VISUAL: Sides One and Two have some light hairlines, nothing deep. Track A3 is titled ''Til Then'' on center label, track B3 "Dear Dr. Doom" VG/VG-
VINYL AUDIO: Tested on Marantz TT and NO SKIPPING at all, sounds really great with a little bit of crackle, mostly during intros/some outros/quieter moments.
