Turquoise Label Stereo Original US 1st press 1968 LABEL / LABELCODE MATRIX NUMBERS EXTRAS GRADING International Artists IALP-8 IA LP8 SIDE 1 & SIDE 2 Unlaminated Single Cover EX++/M- DESCRIPTION Early Texas Psychedelic garage band from mid to late 1960's, with lead singer Roky Erickson. This is their third album, released in 1968, which is not a live album at all. The tracks were studio outtakes with fake applause added. Along with versions of the band's classics "You're Gonna Miss Me" and "Roller Coaster" this album contains 5 songs not included on their previous two studio albums: Bo Diddley's "Before You Accuse Me", Buddy Holly's "I'm Gonna Love You Too", Solomon Burke's classic "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love" and two original compositions "'You Gotta Take That Girl" and "You Can't Hurt Me Anymore"). CONDITIONS RECORD: Visually both sides are deep shiney black and have all of its original gloss, seen in critical 100W light! Only a few non audible spots (like almost all US vinyls from these time have). Only little almost not audible scratches on side 2. Beside this both sides of this great album play without any clicks, pops or crackles. No scratches. Record is a bit wavy but with NO effect on the sound. Brilliant sound quality!!! All in all in EXCELLENT++ condition!! Of course NO ‘Masterfonics’ in the trail off vinyl. LABELS: Both labels without any spindle marks in NEAR MINT (M-) condition! COVER: Thick non-laminated single cover in pristine conditon!!! Rare in this condition! No creases. No tape. No splits. No writings, no stamps, no stickers. No edge and spine wear! No ring wear! Like fresh from the shop! This wonderful cover must be grade as NEAR MINT (M-)! SUMMARY Erickson and the Elevators were groundbreakers in alternative/punk/psychedelic garage band music!!!!
