• This week I am offering nearly two-hundred great psych, psych-folk, psych-soul, hippie, freakbeat, prog, fuzz, heavy, sunshine pop, blues, and soul LPs from a fantastic one-owner collection!

• The majority of these scarce albums look as if they were bought yesterday, not of 35 to 40 years ago! Many are still sealed, many more are rare white label promotional pressings, and all are NM to MINT unplayed condition!

• The original owner obviously acquired these just to collect them, not to play them. You will want to buy as many from this collection as you can so you can get a savings on postage!

• Vintage LP record, original USA pressing from 1967. Before putting this up for auction I had two things I absolutely had to investigate, so as to qualify its authenticity. I will explain: as of this morning this LP was still sealed, having been acquired with a collection of nearly 100% radio station promotional pressings of rare freaky music, including some rare late monaural pressings (at least two from as late as 1972!). There was a possibility, therefore, that this record could in fact be a mono pressing. It is well-known that International Artists did not produce mono jackets. They put their monos in stereo jackets. Also, the only way to tell a mono vinyl pressing from a stereo is the "mono" sticker afixed to the label and "IAM-5" matrix numbers in the dead wax.
  As it was sealed, I couldn't know which pressing was inside. Last year a mint mono sold for $2700 on eBay. No guts, no glory, right? Well, the short story is: I opened the album and it is in fact a stereo pressing. All in all, it is still a massively collectible and rare piece. Anyway, please read on, as it gets more interesting...

• Jacket constructed of thick brown pasteboard stock with applied cover slick. Jacket is MINT-MINUS condition, no splits, ring wear, writing, etc., and the factory shrinkwrap is still sealed!

• The shrink wrapper is very tight. It is obviously from the 1960s, because it has that stiff, brittle feeling, more like cellophane, not soft and flexible like today's supple shrink wrap.

• There are two tiny breathe holes in the shrink on the front.

• Now begins my explanation for the other reason I wanted to open the shrink: there are a number of fingerprints seen on the front cover slick, underneath the shrink. They are not disgusting dirt-smudged fingerprints, but they are visible if one looks closely under the shrink. I have tried to show them in the photos below with some success. Now, this is not a common thing, but it is not unthinkable or impossible. International Artists was a very small company with limited distribution, and they hand-wrapped their products. The guy who wrapped this obviously was not wearing his gloves that day. The fingerprints are part of the package, and therefore contribute to the album's provenance. To help eliminate any doubt you might have, just think about it:
  if someone today were going take the trouble and risk to shrink-wrap an old LP with the intention of deceit through forgery, do you think such a criminal would actually leave his fingerprints behind??
  No, I think not.

• The jacket is not a cut out, so no cut corners, no drill holes, and no saw cuts. Obviously no bar codes, either.

• Again, I personally opened this remarkable LP myself this morning. Therefore, the disc appears to be in perfect STONE MINT condition! Also included is the rare lyric sleeve in NM- condition due only to slight folds from the factory. Thanks very much for looking, and best of luck!

It goes without saying that investing in a sealed vintage LP, just to experience the act of removing the wrapper and listening to it, is the privilege of the winning bidder. However, it is key that you understand that the collectability of this album is due to its being unopened. Because I cannot see the condition of the record inside, I guarantee only the condition of the jacket and shrink wrapper, and sealed records are not returnable for any reason if they have been opened by the purchaser.

• I do not charge handling fees. I also never use international first class shipping if you use PayPal, because it is not safe. USPS Priority or Express rate only, because they offer free tracking and insurance. Just slightly more expensive. If you cannot afford proper postage then this record is not for you.

• Finally, import duty taxes are the responsibilty of the buyer. I will not honor any request that I misrepresent parcel value or other information on the customs form.

• If you pay with PayPal, I will not ship with First Class mail.
• PayPal requires tracking for proof of delivery, and First Class does not offer that service.
• I understand the need to pay as little as possible for postage, so if you must have First Class delivery instead of the much safer Priority Mail, please email me before you bid so that we can come to an agreement.
