Description
Lovely, original copy of "Psychedelic Sounds" in mono from 1966/67. This has the first press matrix numbers etched in the trail-off of S-1264 on one side and S-1265 re on the other side. The labels are the first press yellow/green..This still has the shrink on stand the price tag where it was purchased from, which was Marshall Field's Dept. Store located here in Chicago. There are no seam splits and spine look quite nice. The back is a nice, clean white/ Even though it is in the shrink, there is still some rubbing on the sides of the front cover. There is also rubbing on the two right corners. I think we can grade the cover at nice vg+ to vg++.
Using a 100 watt bulb to grade by, the vinyl is shiny and quite nice.....I grade one side at near mint8/9 out of 10 and the other side at vg++. I played both sides on my new turntable, and the sound was clear and crisp throughout..... with only minimal surface noise even between tracks....Both labels look quite clean with a few spindle marks, if you look closely.
