Description
(1967 International Artist 1) - This record really needs no explanation. Along with their second album they represent the pinnacle of psychedelia. It doesn't get any better or real. The mono version advertised here is the better mix, far surpassing the stereo pressing of this album. The stereo lacks the punch and dynamics of this classic masterpiece. It's on the yellow and green first pressing label.
The vinyl has many light scratches that look like it was stored without a sleeve. It plays great with some light surface noise. There are no deep marks or distracting popping and clicking. It was my keeper copy for many years until I decided to upgrade. The music actually drowns out most imperfections except for some of the quieter passages.
The jacket has light front cover wear. The back looks really great, just a light stain near the top and a little bit of wear. The side spine is taped almost 100 percent. The top spine is taped 75 percent, and the bottom about 20 percent. Whoever did it actually did a great job because it's sometimes unnoticeable until closer inspection. Anyway, it ain't the cover you're gonna listen to!
A mint copy is going to put a serious dent in your pocket these days, so if you're looking for a really decent playing copy of arguably the greatest psych album of time at an affordable price all this may be your way in.
