Description

13th Floor Elevators - You're Gonna Miss Me / Tried To Hide (IA 107X Canada)

Description: Wow, here's a copy of the Rarest of the two super rare Canadian variations of the Elevator's masterpiece. The Acid Archives website reports about 10 copies known of the 1st Canadian Variation (London Records) and only 2 of the 2nd Canadian Variation. (Manufactured by Quality Records Limited)

It is much harder to find than the HBR release.

If other copies haven't surfaced in the meantime this would be the 3rd reported copy! In any case it doesn't look like it's going to flood canadian flea markets anytime soon..  Matrix codes are IA-107-S1 followed by a circled '2' and IA-107-S2  followed by a circled '2'

Essential if you've got the ambition to complete all the 20+ releases of YGMM... I'm not a collector of label variations, so i'll let this go. Good Luck!

Conditions:

Vinyl:A nice VG+!, several surface scuffs, a couple minor scratches, some greying in the grooves. Still about 70% shiny.  Please check Hi-Res scan below.

Labels: VG++ with very minor ringwear. Labels color is actually more green/blue than just blue as the scans show

Plays VERY NICE with only minor surface noise. I can provide clips if requested.

Here's the grading scale i'll be using, i'm not a pro but i'll try to grade records conservatively. I think every record is a different story so any case will be individually described.

NM Like new (almost). Just a few hairlines or little storage scuffs are allowed. VG++ Very little surface scuffing and/or a couple of light marks without affect on play. Retains most of its gloss. Actually very close to a NM copy, will probably just play just as good. Still a great copy that will please most collectors.

VG+

May have some moderate surface wear and/or a few tiny but feelable scratches that may affect play with some clicks/pops. Little surface noise may be noticeable in passages, but will play mostly clean. VG Used but not abused. Could have been handled with more care. Typically a VG record will have moderately diffused surface scuffs and/or some light scratches and/or one or two heavier marks. A little warp could be ok too. Still some good gloss and plays without major problems, may have clicks and background surface noise but a good listening experience VG- The thing is used man! Probably stored sleveless and/or has some noticeable scratches/marks. Can have noticeable surface noise but music will still be upfront. Can also have occasional louder clicks/pop and/or slightly distorted sound in passages. G Blame it on the previous owner! Rough copy with diffused scuffing and little left gloss. Can have deeper scratches but will still play without skipping on hanging. Surface noise will be evident but for the most part will not overwhelm the music. F(ried) Will skip or hang or play very badly with noise overwhelming music.
