A friend of mine acquired this collection from an A list ex-Renaissance DJ who had emigrated and had these sitting in his mum's garage the last 5 or so years. He had the sole intention of taking the acetates out of it and I've been through it and pulled out the pre-1990 house and so pretty much what is left is a big pile of mostly 1990s house and trance and some other related stuff (I had agreed to take them off him as he told me there would be a lot of old skool and hardcore in there and there was absolutely none!). A lot of promos here as you would expect, maybe 10-15% are white labels, maybe 10% are only in paper sleeves or could do with a replacement sleeve, condition varies but on average most are in VG+, very few if any have been bashed and caned to death like some DJ collections you see, there were a few sealed bits too but not many. I've put up some random pictures, I don't particularly know this kind of stuff so I may have shown you some gems or some wack pieces, I tried to layout the things which had the nicer looking covers that were easy to recognise so it should give you a taster as to what you are likely to find!
I don't have space to leave these around until next year when I am not working and would have time to sell them so chance for someone to pick up a nice pile of stuff here!
These would need to be collected on a Saturday or Sunday from my lockup in central Reading. These are going to weigh 300-350kg so ideally you need a big car or a small van.
I've ran out of space in my lockup so I'm auction off the things that I've acquired over the years as part of collections I've bought that don't interest me personally. Generally I will have pulled out anything that is disco, indie, reggae, techno, hip hop, old skool, jungle, early house (up to late 80s), avant garde/classical, funk, soul, jazz and IDM. Anything else is not my cup of tea and I probably don't know much about it, there may be good stuff or bad stuff, its for you to judge but I will include several photos to give you a good idea what is there!
