(CLEANED WITH A PRO-JECT VC-S Mk II VACUUM CLEANER)
This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker, New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.
Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

Wonderful, heavy & shiny vinyl!
She does carry many light marks to her.
I have just finished listening to all of her and found some light background noise-really nothing to detract from the DEEP rich and clear bass, with an overall SUPERBLY CLEAR audio reproduction! Mainly noticeable inbetween tracks, rather than when the Beatles are singing....Ony very occasional and light though.

There some central hole wear-as can be seen in the detailed images provided, with some light spindle marks evident when angled towards the light.
Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd" "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number.
NO "Sold In UK..." statement...Showing it is the 5th pressing.

It is a replacement, but period 2 windowed plain white inner.

RARER 1st PRINTING EJ DAY COVER TOO:
( These were produced at roughly a ration of 1:10, compared to the usual Garrod & Lofthouse covers)
There is only some light wear to this cover, with fingers of spidering to the laminate.
The thicker HEAVYWEIGHT card cover has rubbed and knocked edges and corners. The flipbacks remain strong and clean.
The EJ Day credit to the back, bottom right corner shines out in all its glory.
The spine is in great condition and is bright white with perfectly legible Please Please Me title.
Slightly grubby back card with very little age blooming and a small name to the top.
A genuine 1st printing Ernest J Day cover, with the Angus McBean in the extreme lower right corner on the front-in line with the end of the 'S'.

Has the rarer EJ Day cover in great condition.
