A bit of history.....This album was first released on the 4th Dec 1964. Prior to its release there was a huge order of 750,000...which went on to break all records for advance orders of ANY album!!! Of course this meant the album went straight into the number 1 position in the U.K. charts, staying in the charts for 46 weeks!! POPULAR is too small a word for it!

VG. Superb heavy vinyl. The vinyl does have light marks and, BUT still retains all is sheen and glory!
I HAVE JUST LISTENED TO HER ALL THE WAY THROUGH AND WAS INCREDIBLY HAPPY WITH THE AUDIO REPRODUCTION
The drums are gorgeous at the start of "What You're Doing" :)
Some background noise in the run-ins and inbetween songs, but not bad at all.
NO JUMPS OR SKIPS ON MY TECHNICS DECK.
Gorgeously flat
Very well looked after....
(a gentle professional clean would certainly help)
STILL SOUNDS FAB

Labels: VG-. Lovely and clear. Barely any spindle marks visible, even when angled towards the light. As well as barely any  central hole wear.
NO WRITING
Does have some lifting to side 2, where a sticker was removed, but this has been sympathetically coloured in, to make it blend in.

Very 1st pressing as it DOES NOT carry the rim text: 
"PRESSED IN S.A.UNDER DIRECTIONS OF THE PARLOPHONE Co Ltd"
Only carries the lower rim text: "Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting and copying of this record prohibited"

Heavy card and superbly frame able
Mono outline in top right corner-with a tiny bit of wear to the top right corner. Shiny front and back FULLY LAMINATED cover-with even the inside right panel being laminated too!!...
NO lines of spidering areas to the three sided laminate!!WOW!!
The spine has NO rubbing and remains as lovely as it was when printed-more than 50 years ago!
...VERY CRITICAL HERE!!
Strong and clean inner flipbacks.
No Writing ANYWHERE
DEEP, RICH COLOURS REMAIN
