Description
16 inch radio transcription disc from 1957, featuring two 15 minute shows from the American Cancer Society crusade. One side is the famous Listening to Jazz with Ernie Kovacs program, featuring music selections by Bunk Johnson, Cootie Williams, Django Reinhardt, and Duke Ellington. The other side is the Faron Young country music show, with guest Rose Maddox.
None of this stuff was commercially released. This is probably the only place you will ever hear the songs Rose Maddox does here... and the Kovacs show is legendary...
And this copy is in amazing condition. There are some scuffs and surface marks, but overall it is very shiny and looks barely played. I don't have a player on which to listen, but I can see it will play great. This is a really nice copy, and so rare. You will probably never see another.
