Description

Here's a 16 inch transcription disc / record from the 1950s.  The title of this record is The George Hamilton IV Show which was a music program produced by NBC and presented by the National Guard.  Artists are recorded before a live audience with some patter between songs.  Also the artists read recruiting promotions for the military.

This particular program features Ferlin Husky and Jim Reeves on one program (side) and Faron Young and Elton Britt on the other.
These records were delivered to, and played on radio stations before the more common use of audio tape and consequently, were probably only played once. Record speed is 33 1/3 rpm.
You will need a record player capable of playing 16 inch records, commonly called "transcription records".
Please note, the photo used in the listing is just a generic photo, so you can see what the record looks like.
