This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker,  New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.

 Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

INCREDIBLE HEAVYWEIGHT QUALITY 165g!

 Gorgeous, heavy vinyl.
I have just finished listening to all of her and found barely any background noise...she played through with a superb rich deep bass reproduction with clear peaks too, with almost silent transitions and very quiet run-ins and outs...Pure QUALITY!
She does carry light marks, but they are just wispy and insignificant on the audio play back...Certainly nothing at all to make her jump or skip on my Focus One deck, fitted with SME arm and an Audio Technica stylus.

 Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd" "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number.
NO "Sold In UK..." statement...Showing it is the 5th pressing.
SOLID EXAMPLE
As you can see in the images-there is a name in silver pen to side 2 and harder to spot is 'Julia' in biro to side 1 too....Nothing too offensive at all.

 There is some light wear to this cover....
A small amount of spidering eminating from the bottom left front corner...With just a few other smaller crescents of spideing to the laminated cover-Nothing to worry about.
There is some light rubbing to the corners, but NO SPLITS.

The EJ Day flipbacks remain in good solid condition and the credit for E J Day remains clean and clear, with a small patch of loss to the extreme bottom right corner.
