This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker, New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.
Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

VG. Gorgeous, heavy vinyl.
I notice light marks to her-certainly: NO SKIPS OR JUMPS
I have just finished listening to all of her and found some light and occasional background noise, BUT also a superb rich deep bass reproduction with clear peaks too. There was a light revolutionary pop to the 1st quater of track 3, on side 2.....She gets better as she progresses....Would certainly benifit for a gentle professional clean

Labels: VG. There is some mild central hole wear with light spindle marks evident.
Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd" "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number.
NO "Sold In UK..." statement...Showing it is the 5th pressing.

Inner: VG+ It is a the ORIGINAL USE EMITEX tracing-paper lined inner.
Looks superb!
There is a small split to the bottom seam, other than that she is a lovely early example.
Carries the very eraly text:
"PATENTS APPLIED FOR"
which was later removed.
CERTAINLY DONE HER JOB IN LOOKING AFTER THIS WONDERFUL SLAB OF VINYL FOR ALL THESE YEARS!

She is gorgeous-with vibrant colours and strong corners-she would look great framed!
Just the one wrinkle to the front laminate, to the bottom left corner-see if you can spot it in the detailed images provided...
The back card has minimal discolouration-as can be seen in the photos provided...There is a small name to the top left corner to the back.
