Up for bids is a RARE 1895 Emil Berliner Gramophone Record #157X. The artist preforming is Jus Ternell. The song, preformed with banjo is: Tramp, Tramp, Tramp. This record feels like it is made of a different compound than later 78s, perhaps a rubber or Gutta percha mix?  Someone in the past drilled a second hole near the spindel hole (no cracks around it, just short scratches, see pics.). The playing condition on this disc is loud but has functional issues. First of all it has a rough start for a few grooves then a mid record depression area that could cause skipping on your player, mine just thumped loudly for 4 to 5 revolutions. There are medium scratches that cause noise and the material itself causes background. After all it is nearly 120 years old, so it is amazing it plays at all. I would judge the playability as fair to poor for modern players. Probably would play much better on an acoustical system as it was made for.   being sold AS IS.
