Description

I will audition each Berliner I sell, and give my observations in each auction. Because of varying, non-standardized manufacturing conditions, the records vary as greatly as snow flakes. I will do my best to write a complete assessment for each. I playback with a 3.0 mil sapphire stylus. Varying the stylus size can yield better playback results.

Berliner 853Z, MATRIX DATED JUNE 10,1896. Performance plays back VERY NICELY with a 3.0 mil stylus very good with lower than average surface noise. PLEASE INSPECT PHOTO.

I audition all records COMPLETELY (and several times!) on a modern turntable with a lightweight sapphire stylus. RECORDS WILL BE PACKED PROPERLY WITH NEW PACKING MATERIALS between several sheets of cardboard, surrounded by packing peanuts, in a sturdy box.
