Description

After collecting for over 50 years...Its time to starting clearing out a number of my recordings. Most of these will be in the 1898 to 1910 period with a few exceptions going up into the 1930s. I've enjoyed these recordings and I hope you will too. These records will be shipped in a new box wrapped with cardboard and bubble wrap to protect them. Tracking .......


1907 Columbia Marconi Velvet Tone record. Vincent Buono (cornet) playing Oh Promise me. From a 1903 stamper with announcement!!.  The Marconi Velvet Tone record was another first by Columbia, and one they bungled like many other projects.

This record is good, some surface noice, but very good fidelity.

Lastly for newer collectors, YOU CANNOT PLAY THESE RECORDS WITH A STEEL NEEDLE. ONLY ON A NEWER TURNTABLE. STEEL NEEDLES WILL DESTROY IT.
