ADD ME AS A FAVOURITE SELLER NOW! I'll be selling some rare, amazing, and spectacular 78rpm records over the next few months, and you will not want to miss out!
Performed on this record is the Nevin song "Oh, That We Two Were Maying." Written on matrix" Test of Mrs. Newborg and Mac." "Mac" is most likely Harry Macdonough, who recorded this song for Victor later in the year 1908 with Elise Stevenson. Who is Mrs. Newborg? She will not remain a mystery for long. She ain't no Nellie Melba! At end of performance, you can hear chatter amongst all present in studio for a few seconds. Test pressings this early are not common at all, and this disc is a true survivor. Pressing is one-sided, thick, square edge. I grade this disc conservatively "E-" using the VJM Record Grading system. I audition all records on a modern turntable with a lightweight sapphire stylus. RECORDS WILL BE PACKED PROPERLY between several sheets of cardboard, surrounded by packing peanuts, in a sturdy box. If you are outside the USA, please email me directly for an exact quote.
