  For auction is this rare 1915 Vladimir de Pachmann 12 1/2", Columbia 78 RPM Record. 

"Often forgotten today is Vladimir de Pachmann, the earliest born pianist to leave a sizable legacy of readily available discs. Unfortunately, his artistry must take a back seat to his eccentric stage antics. Onstage, he would stop playing, babble to the audience about his pedaling or his fingering.....  But his Chopin and Schumann, especially, are beautiful..... Pachmann also found his own way around the time restraints of the early discs. When recording the Liszt Polonaise, Rigoletto Paraphrase and the Chopin Ballade in A-flat, he just started recording from a point somewhere in the middle of the piece."
