1920s Irish 78rpm Record Catalogue Supplement, John McGettigan, Fiddler, Band Leader & Singer. Condition is used, very good. McGettigan was from Donegal & emigrated to Philadelphia in 1907. He led dance bands called The Three Leaf Shamrock Orchestra & John McGettigan’s Irish Minstrels. His 78rpm recordings sold very well, especially in Irish-American communities. He was a successful businessman & founder of McGettigan’s Travel Agency in Philly. As if that wasn’t enough, he was a classical scholar & taught Latin & Greek at the college level.
