Description

 HMV recording of Empire day messages to the boys and girls of the British Empire from His Majesty King George the Fifth and Her Majesty Queen Mary

recorded at Buckingham Palace

there is no date on the record but from researching it I believe it to be from 1923 and to be the earliest known sound recording of a reigning british monarch

on the reverse is the band of the Coldstream Guards playing God Save the King & Home Sweet Home.

In excellent condition, just a few light marks. In a generic record shop cardboard sleeve
