Hello and welcome to our store! This listing is for a SUPER RARE vintage 92 year old record from1924 by Reese Du Pree, consisting of the songs "Norfolk Blues" & "One More Rounder Gone". Made by Okeh records, the speed is 78rpm. Record # is 8127. Has been FULLY TESTED on both sides and is guaranteed to work. It is in excellent vintage condition, only a few scratches.  It plays all the way through on each side. 
This record is one of the first blues songs to feature acoustic guitar. This record was recorded on February 7th, 1924. The earliest guitar blues song is "Guitar Blues" by Sylvester Weaver, recorded in 1923. After that record, two more acoustic guitar blues records were created (By Sara Martin/Sylvester Weaver, & Virginia Liston). The 4th acoustic blues record ever created ended up being "Norfolk Blues/One More Rounder Gone" by Reese Du Pree, making it one of the first acoustic blues records in existence. 
The song "Norfolk Blues" on this record, is the first blues song to feature an African American male singing a blues song to an acoustic guitar. In this record's era (the early 1920's), blues was mostly played on the piano or by orchestra. This record helped shape how blues was performed, introducing the acoustic guitar to the blues.
