Description
Up for auction is a 78 record which was Bing Crosby's very first appearance on record.This 78s by Don Clark and His Los Angeles Biltmore Hotel Orchestra.This is on Columbia D label # 824-D.The songs are titled I've Got The Girl on one side and has Idolizing on the other side.Nearly halfway through the song I've Got The Girl there are 2 harmonizing voices which are Bing Crosby and Al Rinker.I learned this upon checking one of Bings websites.This 78 was recorded on October 18th 1926.Bing does not sing on the other side as there is a lady names Betty Patrick singing.The I've Got The Girl side is Beautiful with about 8 extremely light scratches only.On the trail off wax near label there appears to be a small light stamp or discoloration spot.This is minor and does not affect the beauty of the record.The Idolizing side is gorgeous as well and has about 5 small extremely light scratches.Both sides also have quite abit of groove wear but the record still has shine.It really is a beauty.It was played but was handled extremely carefully by the previous owner.Both sides of the record also play Beautifully.I played this record with the treble at the halfway mark and both sides played extremely well with only a light hiss.When treble is down all the way it plays with an extremely light hiss.Really a Great record.Also has a green colored sleeve with original label near the upper right corner please see picture.I'll be listing several 1920 1930s jazz 78s over the next few weeks.I also combine multiple auctions to save on shipping.If the buyer is not 100% satiafied I have a return for refund policy on all records I sell.Please check the bottom of the auction page for shipping rates.If insurance is desired it costs an extra $1.85 as they just raised the rates.E Mail for foreign shipping costs also.
