Here's a 1928 Country 78 by Darby And Tarlton on Columbia D label # 15319.Songs titled Mexican Rag on one side with the song Alto Waltz on the other side.The Alto Waltz side has 6 small light non feelable scratches and 10 small feelable scratches.The largest feelable scratch is one inch long.Most of the other feelable scratches are 1/4th of an inch with a few 1/2 inch long scratches.These scratches cause some ticks here and there but no loud pops.Side also has some scuffing wear.Lots of nice shine on grooves.The Mexican Rag side of record has five light scratches and fifteen feelable scratches.Ten of the feelable scratches are small with the other five being bigger than small.Even though it has some scuffing wear it still has lots of shine on grooves.Both sides play tested and play as follows.The Alto Waltz side plays good with a light background hiss with treble adjusted low.Few ticks here and there.No loud pops.The Mexican Rag plays nicely with a light to medium background hiss.Plays with a light hiss when treble is adjusted low.Some ticks here and there.During play of entire song I counted four pops.Great early Country record.
