Description
Please refer to the auction title and picture(s) for details about this record. If you need a high-quality digital transfer of this record (with or without pop/click removal), I can perform this service for an additional charge. Just ask prior to submitting your payment!
Click on the audio player below to hear a brief mp3 excerpt from this record. This is a straight transfer from the actual record in this auction, with NO noise reduction or click removal processes applied. This will give you a basic idea of the playing condition of this record. Please be aware that mono records are properly transferred summed to mono, which generally cancels out some of the surface noise. Mono records played in stereo will sound more noisy. I can't accept returns for mono records that don't sound as good played in stereo.
Notes: Guaranteed original press. Presumably unknown, as I can't find any reference to it online, this is a 1929 privately pressed/issued 10" 78 intended only for the consumption of Earl Burtnett, Hank Miller, and the Biltmore Hotel Orchestra. It's a Christmas greeting in the form of a light-hearted roast from the band members. It's mostly talking, but the beginning and end have brief musical bits. I've excerpted roughly the first half of side 1, and the second half of side 2. Possibly the only one in existence, so if you're a collector, don't pass this one up!
Visual grade: Surface is nice and glossy, with only a few minor scuffs. Looks to have been scarcely played. (listen to mp3 for audio grade, which is often better than the visual grade for 78s)
Unless otherwise noted, records are graded visually using the Goldmine system.
