Description

Up for auction is a rare 16" radio transcription disc from 1931.

Here’s a choice look back in time to listen to Slim Martin & His Transco All Americans. This long forgotten Los Angeles dance band is alive once again!!

Slim was the trombonist in Abe Lyman’s band and he was famous for creating a muted effect on the trombone

This orchestra is most likely a studio group made up of musicians from Arnheim’s band.

Track listing:

Pgm 12A: Cubanero, Now That You’re Gone, Spanish Doll (NICE!!)

Pgm 12B: College Medley (first song Collegiate), What Price Love (nice dance band tune), Me! (HOT!!)

These early transcription discs don't turn up often so now is your chance to get some rare Los Angeles Jazz.

I would put condition about V+

please check my other auctions for more Slim Martin discs and other rare transcriptions and radio material.

Happy bidding
