Description

STANDARD was a producer of Transcription records for radio stations and released these special "Party Record" recordings with the STANDIRT PRODUCTIONS label for the enjoyment of its major subscribers. I understand these were produced in limited numbers and very discreetly distributed. Not many are available today.

This is a 1936 rendition of SWEET VIOLETS by the Sons of the Pioneers. It was banned on the radio.
SAMPLE
"The Shotgun Wedding" was recorded in 1936 and is a narrative between a couple of 'not too smart' guys talking about the schoolteacher and the hired hand.

This is a standard 10 inch 78 rpm record with a parody of the Standard transcription label, produced by the Standard transcription company. It's condition is pretty good, grading E-. Lots of original gloss, good playable condition. The samples above have not been 'enhanced' and fairly represent the condition of the record.
