"American Radio Newsreel" Radio Transcription Disc recorded by Universal Recording Company, New York City.  One complete approximately 15 minute radio program on this 16 inch, black lacquer acetate coated aluminum, 33 1/3 rpm disc.  This disc was recorded for reference purposes only and not available to the general public, Very Rare!

The show is introduced as "All Star Interviews Brought To You By American Radio Newsreel".  This is very interesting program where a reporter goes various places in New York City during an evening to perform interviews and give reports.  The announcer says "listening to this program is like taking a trip to New York City".  The interviews are conducted by reporter Mike Blair with Walter Kinsella.  It is stated that the broadcasting equipment is on a truck outside of the broadcast locations.   The reporter visits four different locations:

First, the reporter visits The Rhineland Cafe on East 86th Street where a party is being held by "The German American Bund", an organization of German Americans which was established to promote a favorable view of Nazi German.  The organization's members are celebrating the victory of Germany over Poland.  There are approximately 200-300 members in attendance.  The organization's leader, Fritz Kuhn, is interviewed by Mike Blair.   He talks about the organization and keeping The United States out of the war.  Another member gives a very, short interview with an abrupt ending.  After leaving the party, the reporter said that he had expected some trouble.  An interesting report and interview

The next stop is to Armando's Night Club, possibly on Broadway.  The reporter talks to the hat check girl and socialite Marian O'Neal

 The next stop is to back stage at The Winter Garden Theater where there is a party by the cast of "Hellzapopin'" celebrating it's 100th performance.  The stars of the show, John Olsen & Chic Johson, both appear on the broadcast,  John Olsen is interviewed by Mike Blair.  The crowd sings "Happy Birthday" to the show

The last stop is to Ciro's Nightclub where Mike Blair interviews Mary Brian - famous actress who had a long film career starting in silent movies through the Golden Age of Hollywood

Disc is in Excellent- condition with Excellent- Sound, Beautiful Disc!  There is some label damage which is visible in the scans
