Description

CONDITION: E+, nice clean copy, probably never played, VICTOR featuring a 1939 two part prewar jazz recording by the TOMMY DORSEY ORCHESTRA that was not released until 1950 on this disc that captures an inspired performance of Deane Kincaide’s arrangement of Jelly Roll Morton's jazz standard “Milenberg Joys” by the entire Tommy Dorsey band, with solos by Babe Russin on tenor saxophone, Yank Lawson on trumpet, TD on trombone, Johnny Mince on clarinet, and superb drumming throughout by Dave Tough on VICTOR 26347 a 10" 78 rpm record -- please see photos for overall condition -- Milenberg, famously, was a small town hang-out for jazz musicians on Lake Ponchartrain, LA.

Will be securely packed in new 12x12x4 box with cardboard stiffeners and floating in a paper fill.
