Description

"Chesterfield Time" radio transcription discs recorded by Universal Recording Company, New York.   One complete radio program on these three 12 inch, black lacquer coated aluminum, 78 rpm discs.  These discs were recorded for reference purposes only and not available to the general public, very rare!

This is an excellent program, described by Paul Whiteman as a program of "All American Dance Favorites".

Songs by Paul Whiteman & His Orchestra include "Old Man River", "The Man I Love" vocal Joan Edwards, "Night And Day", "Alexander's Ragtime Band" vocal The Modernaires, "Stardust", "Tea For Two" vocal Joan Edwards, Hal Dickenson & The Modernaires, Medley: "St. Louis Blues / Sweet Sue (vocal Joan Edwards) / Who / I Got Rhythm (vocal The Modernaires)"

Paul Whiteman announces this is the last program of a two year run of radio programs for Chesterfield.  He announces that starting next week, Chesterfield will present "The Newest Dance Sensation - Glenn Miller & & His Orchestra" with The Andrews Sisters

Program is complete and approximately 26 minutes

Program is complete with commercials for Chesterfield Cigarettes.  The announcer is Fred Uttal

I could not find any reference to any existing copy of this radio program in any online radio log or database. 

Discs are in Excellent condition with Excellent or better sound, absolutely beautiful sound from direct network line-check discs
