You are bidding on a RARE Vintage Capitol record "LITTLE JOHNNY STRIKEOUT" 10" 78rpm record DBS-3051 featuring JOE DIMAGGIO "BOZO Fun-Packed Children's Album"
The sleeve is a fold-out paper sleeve that is in pretty good condition - the front of the paper sleeve has black & white photo of Joe DiMaggio and also a colorful picture of a small boy in a baseball outfit; the back of the sleeve has a lsiting of other Bozo children's album/records that were available at that time. When folded out, the innder sleeve shows black & white action photos of Joe DiMaggio. If you enjoy different children records from the 50s, then this sure will make a nice addition to your childhood record collection or for your own children; It also will make a great collectible. Labels are dark blue with silver lettering and logos. Side 1 - Little Johnny Strikeout (John Loeb) narrated by Bill Terry featureing Joe Di Maggio, Music arranged and conductrted by Billy May. The other three sides are the same just with "Side 2", "Side 3", and "Side 4" marked on them.
Condition: Sleeve is VG+ with some wear from storage, a 1" seam split on the bottom of front folder and a 3" seam split on the edge between the two folders; and the glue that kept folder one separate from the second folder is gone so it is like one long folder with no separation between the two; some bend marks on the corners (see photos). Records are VG+ on all sides (except side 4) with faint surface noise from age, but can still hear clearly; no signs of wear and only a very few light scuffs from storage; however record side 4 has an edge chip (does NOT go all the way through to the other side) that goes into the first 5 recorded grooves of that side, but it is very tight and does not affect play at all. Play graded with 2mil diamond needle and 3.8 gram weight with no skips - even at the beginning of side 4 there is no skips!. Labels are both VG++ with no signs of wear, no writing, no rips/tears/damage. Size is 10" 78 RPM
