1940'S VOGUE 78 RPM PICTURE RECORD

I just concluded almost a year's worth of clothing patterns that had been collected by my late sister and now I am beginning one more of her collections. This collection consists of 1940'S ERA PICTURE RECORDS. This is a much smaller collection than the patterns and I should be listing most today and tomorrow. My sister would have bought these records, not really to listen to but mainly because of it being a Picture Record that she wished to display.

I am beginning with all of the VOGUE Picture Records with this record having the songs "JEANNINE, I DREAM OF LILAC TIME" on one side. This song was the theme song to the movie LILAC TIME starring Gary Cooper and Colleen Moore in 1928. The song is sung by Jimmie Featherstone and backed by Art Kassel and His Orchestra. One the flip side of the record is the song, "IF I COULD BE WITH YOU" . This song was released in 1926 and on this record was sung by Gloria Hart and the Kassel Trio and backed up by Art Kassel and his Orchestra. This is record #R771 of Vogue Records that was a product of the Sav-Way Industries of Detroit, Michigan. All of these records play at a 78 RPM speed and I have no record player to test them, so all of these Picture records will be selling in 'as is' condition. This particular record though does have a repair place on the edge of the record.
