Description
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A 16 INCH RECORD AND WILL NOT PLAY ON MOST TURNTABLES, WHICH PLAY ONLY 7 or 12 INCH RECORDS.This rare 33 1/3 rpm, 16 inch format was for radio stations, not the general public, and hence are rare!
One side has two strips of scotch tape - presumably to help with the 10 second Spot Announcements. The red vinyl appears to be in VG-VG+ condition, with a few light marks and finger prints. The trail off has the usual numbers and the notation "Disc 3" , although that is not noted on the printed label.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to listen to this item - so that I can not tell you whether the 8 spot announcement are different, although the last one is noticeably shorter.
as for the film - MIGHTY JOE YOUNG is (according to IMDB) "This was the first feature film to which Ray Harryhausen contributed stop-motion animation effects"
