Offered here are 3 vintage Folkways Records & Service Co. "JAZZ" Volumes 1, 2, & 3. Catalog numbers FP 53 The South, FP 55 The Blues, and FP 57 New Orleans. I play tested them on an audiophile quality turntable with an Audio Technica cartridge with 2 grams of stylus pressure. They do not have any significant skips or sticks and will play all the way through, but they do have audible surface noise, pops, etc.. I believe much of that to be from the original recordings and not from these records. The vinyl on these looks pretty good, but not perfect. The covers shows wear from use and age as well. Splits down the sides and bottoms, taped corners and residue, etc.. Each volume has it's own booklet included. Those show wear as well. Copyright dates are 1950 for Vol. 1 & 2, 1951 for V3. The records themselves are thick and heavy. Vol. 1 weighs app. 220 grams, V2 240 grams, and V3 170 grams.
