Available is a full 3-album Columbia Masterworks Set M-448 of PROKOFIEV String Quartet No. 1 (op. 50), performed by the Stuyvesant String Quartet. This set with cloth binding was recorded by Columbia in 1950, and represents the EARLIEST production of this set.

Each 78rpm record averages 330 grams of 12" virgin vinyl. This set is in rare NEAR MINT audio condition with NO skips, sticks or pops throughout its entire play. All six sides tested, with perfect play-through. This is one of the best preserved sets I've ever tested...both visually and in sonic fidelity!

This is an amazingly preserved piece of recording history with Columbia Masterworks early recording series. The vinyl visually looks fabulous, and the 300 gram construction is extremely sturdy. The box and cover are in Excellent condition--please see all photos, as they are part of my description.
