SCARCE 3 LPs BOX SET
This is a display of my private vinyl records collection which I passionately gathered over many years. There are many rare records, most of them from East- European composers and performers, pressed in the 70s-80s and different genre of music, from classical and avangarde to jazz and progressive rock. Most records are in NM or EX condition and few duplicates are still unplayed. If you are interested in a particular East-European record, feel free to ask about it by sending me an email.
Item description:
This is one of the most rare classical music records. Enesco violin solo was recorded in 1949 in USA, New York and released by Don Gabor in 1950 under Continental label. Heavy vinyls.
This is not the Japanese` reissue, this is the fist pressing. Actually the Enesco boxset doesn't need any presentation - the collectors knows the value of this scarce recording.

> Format: LP, 33-1/3 RPM, heavy vinyls, MICROGROOVE
> Record condition: the records were played before and there are light marks. On side 5 there is a punctual fault that I guess it's a pressing fault. Overall the records are in EX condition.
If not happy with them, you may return the item.
> Box condition: original red felt [velvet like] with embossed golden letters / box is pretty used with visible signs of handling; genuine inlay also present but pretty; the inside sleeves also have signs of age. There is a crack in the bottom back of the box, but the inside 3rd sleeve wasn't affected, neither the record - please check the pictures.

"Georges Enesco ranks today as one of the greatest living musicians, and there are many who will claim for him the top rung as the world's foremost living musician. As a composer he has no peer among the living masters, as a violinist he ranks with the finest technicians and interpreters before the public, and as a pianist he has few equals among the key-board virtuosi.
Born in Romania in 1888, Enesco started to play the violin at the age of four and at seven was admitted to the Vienna Conservatory, where he won the highest possible award, the "Gesellschafts" medal. At thirteen he attended the Paris Conservatory, studding with Massenet and Faure among others, and won first prize for violin in 1899. He made his official debut in 1890, and his first appearance as a composer at the age of sixteen at the Concerts Colonne in Paris, where his "Romanian Poem" was presented. A year later his "Fantastic Pastorale" was performed in public, and in 1906 his first symphony.
As a violinist he has played in virtually every country in the world, winning recognition as one of the greatest exponents of his instrument of this century. Today he ranks with Pablo Casals as one of the two greatest living interprets og Bach. Teacher of Yehudi Menuhin, Enesco also is a first rate conductor and has been guest leader with virtually every symphony of note in the united States and Europe. His opera, "Oedipus" has been produced at the Paris Opera, and scheduled again for this fall.
Besides the opera and symphonies, his works include suites for orchestra, concerti for cello and orchestra, chamber music, piano pieces and sonatas for piano, sonatas for piano and violin, and many songs.
His masterful interpretation and playing of the six Bach unaccompanied violin sonatas, presented by Continental Records in this series, panied violin sonatas, presented by Continental Records in this series, not only fill a much needed requirement for the master compositions, but provide an achievement which will go down in the record history as one of the most unique presentations of all time. This series presents the works of one of the greatest music's past immortals played and interpreted by the most important living figure capable of doing justice to Bach's music. Enesco's approach to Bach shows technical mastery, but it also reveals a deep humility and reverence towards his subject matter which he has studied so well over many decades. As such, it approaches the millennium in in the art of preservation of these masterworks."

I do realize that the grading of records may be somewhat subjective so I accept returns as an exception for the rarest and the most valuable records [it will be clearly noted]. Pick-up is also available for the rarest vinyls [> 400 euro]. I analyze the records and I will do my best to be as much objective as I can to save mine and yours time and money.
