Description
Vintage Square Dance Records from the 1950's in a Aqua & Beige metal case. I looks to me like the previous owner was probably a square dance DJ. This set is amazing. It is make up of various Record Labels and Artist. Picture #5 is a Record Lyric Index Card showing record titles and artist.( There are 4 of the records missing from index listing. However there is 3 records that is not on the list. Most of the records are still in there original paper sleeve. Also, along with most of the records there is the dance call instructions. ( See pictures 4 & 6 ). The records all appear to be in very good condition.
The number of songs is to long to list at this time. If you want them I will send.
Record Labels: Winsor, Mercury, Sets in Order, MacGregor, Accent, Balance, Old Timer, Blue Star,Black Mountain, Bel-Mar.
Callers: Bill Yates, Fenton "Jonsie" Jones, Jerry Helt, Ralph Mayhimer, Bruce Johnson, Glen Story, Ed Gilmore, Bill Castner, Richard Dick, Lee Helsel, Bob Graham, Jonny Schultz,Ronny Schneider, Jonny Davis.
The metal box is in great condition. No rust or dents. The handle is excellent with no cracks. The metal hinges and lock show very little ware and are also in excellent condition. Metal box is 11" x 6 1/2" x 11".
One of the records that did catch my eye was: Accent presents Sunny Hills": Glenn Story with Jack Barbour and his Rhythm Rustlers. Songs- Sugar Time & Eight More Miles to Louisville. It also has the call instructions.
I feel this is a vintage 50's collection in great 50's metal box.
