1953 1st Uk Decca pressing UK VOGUE LDE 057 HANS KOLLER New Jazz Stars from Germany. The label then changes the title to New Sounds from Europe vol 6, which is the name of the series. As the title suggests, it's the established star of German Jazz saxophone with rising stars Jutta Hipp Piano, and Albert Mangelsdorf trombone to this quintet date. Jutta's lovely touch led to her getting a Blue Note Lp not long after this, presumably because of this!. Albert's gorgeous soloing and interplay with Koller is also a delight. I saw the previous volume 10" same condition with the same band to this series sold in 2021 for $250 at auction. VG++ record and sleeve plays without skips in good clear sound, no pre 1955 lps play silent surfaced, but this is decent for a 70 year old lp. No Splits bad dirt or staining or pen to the sleeve and labels, this is not off centre and is not warped. Playgraded with an Ortofon Mono cart through a high end system. If you are using a stereo stylus you will probably get more surface noise than mono cart users. Our ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
