Description
Here is a MEGA RARE 10" Jazz album offered up for auction: An original pressing of "Miles Davis with Sonny Rollins" featuring Horace Silver, Percy Heath, and Kenny Clarke. This 60 year old hard to find Jazz relic has been well loved and played but is still a very enjoyable listen!! Has the vintage RARE RED and SILVER PRESTIGE LABELS! Released in 1954 on Prestige Records PRLP 187 (mono). This is a classic example of a record that plays and sounds a lot better than it looks! This heavy weight 10" 33 1/3 RPM record grades VG/VG+, is clean with some of it's original luster, has many light marks on both sides, nothing heavy. Has has been PLAY TESTED, plays from start to finish with good sound quality, no skips no jumps! Here are song by song details: Side A track 1 plays VG, has clear sound with moderate pops throughout, track 2 plays VG+, some unobtrusive noise and is occasionally still quiet. Side B track 1 plays VG+, some unobtrusive noise and is occasionally quiet, track 2 plays VG, has clear sound with moderate pops throughout. Even with the surface noise, it is an enjoyable listening Lp! The dead wax hand etching reads: Side A PRLP 187 - A and side B reads PRLP 187 - B. The early heavy weight cover rates VG, cover notes on back are all still readable, all seams have had neat tape repair(s) and cover is still intact, no tears or ugly damage, no signatures or writing (has white out spot on rear cover), has age discoloration, some light staining, wear at center bottom (see photos).
